Matchroom Boxing announce 4 new shows for 2024

Matchroom Boxing have added four further shows to their 2024 schedule today. Matchroom Boxing ended 2023 with a series of stellar cards including Haney vs Prograis and Rodriguez vs Edwards but started 2024 in a quieter fashion.

Matchroom Boxing have announced the headline fights for their four shows, and news of the undercards will come further down the line. Dalton Smith’s next opponent has finally been confirmed, stepping up to world level against Jose Zepeda. Hitchins vs Lemos is an eliminator for the number 1 spot with the IBF, with Diego Pacheco in action on the undercard. Gill vs Barrett headlines Manchester, and Ja’Rico O’Quinn meets Peter McGrail in a rematch.

Eddie Hearn and Matchroom have added the following shows:

Dalton Smith vs Jose Zepeda, Sandy Ryan vs Terri Harper WBO World title 23 March 2024 in Sheffield. Campbell Hatton challenges for his first championship.

Diego Pacheco vs Shawn McCalman; Richardson Hitchins vs Gustavo Daniel Lemos 06 April 2024 in Las Vegas.

Jordan Gill vs Zelfa Barrett 13 April 2024 in Manchester. Rhiannon Dixon vs Karen Carabajal for the vacant IBF World title.

Ja’Rico O’Quinn vs Peter McGrail 27 April 2024 in Liverpool. This is a Matchroom NXTGEN Liverpool show.

The addition of a further 3 UK cards to Matchroom’s schedule is welcome news. Matchroom previously only had Crocker vs Felix this week, as well as NXTGEN London on their UK schedule. Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington 2 and Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron 3 are both expected to be added in 2024.

All four cards will appear on DAZN as part of Matchroom Boxing’s agreement with the broadcaster. You can read more on each of show below.
