Turki Alal Shikh confirms Ring of Fire Cancelled

The boxing card set for the Undisputed Heavyweight title between Fury vs Usyk has been postponed, and the original Ring of Fire cancelled. Chairman of the General Entermainment Authority in Saudi Arabia Turki Alal Shikh has the entire card will be rescheduled to a later daate.

News broke earlier today that WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury suffered an injury during his training camp and withdrew from his planned bout against Oleksandr Usyk. Fury vs Usyk was set to headline the Ring of Fire event in a marquee Undisputed Heavyweight championship bout.

A press release sent from Turki Alal Shikh confirms the entire Ring of Fire event has now been postponed to a later date. No date has been set until Tyson Fury’s cut has been examined and a timescale can be set on recovery. Ticket holders for the event are now being offered refunds, and PPV purchasers will receive their money back.

There is no word on what will happen to the planned undercard. IBF World champion Joe Cordina was set for a title defence on the undercard, and Jai Opetaia vs Breidis Mairis for the IBF Cruiserweight title was set to be Chief Support. Isaac Lowe, a sparring partner of Tyson Fury, and fellow Queensberry heavyweight Moses Itauma were amongst the planned card.
