Skye Nicolson vs Sarah Mahfoud confirmed for Hitchins Lemos undercard

Skye Nicolson vs Sarah Mahfoud has been added to Matchroom Boxing’s upcoming show in April. Nicolson will box for her first World championship against Mahfoud.

The winner of Skye Nicolson vs Sarah Mahfoud will be crowned the new WBC Featherweight champion. The championship was vacated by Amanda Serrano after the WBC refused allow her to box 12×3 minute rounds. Amanda Serrano still holds the other 3 major World championships as well as the IBO title.

28-year old Skye Nicolson (9-0, 1 KO) picked up her first stoppage victory when she defeated Lucy Wildheart. Nicolson picked up 4 victories in 2023 and was made a mandatory contender for Amanda Serrano after hold the WBC Interim World championship. Nicolson was also offered an opportunity to become an ’email champion’ after Amanda Serrano vacated her title, but she refused to be elevated to champion and opted to win it in the ring.

Sarah Mahfoud

Skye Nicolson will face Sarah Mahfoud (14-1, 3 KO) for the World championship. The Danish boxer has one loss on her record which came against Amanda Serrano in 2022. Mahfoud currently holds the WBC Silver Featherweight championship and has recorded victories over intended Amanda Serrano opponent Nina Meinke and Karen Carabajal.
