The unique event will see Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions pit 5 of their roster against 5 from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. The card for the event features two Heavyweight bouts alongside Light Heavyweight, Middleweight and Featherweight contests.
The scoring for the event will see 1 point for a victory and 2 points for a KO. Each promotion also selects a captain who can score double points with a victory. Queensberry selected Middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz and Matchroom opted for Deontay Wilder.
The main event will see Deontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang in the Heavyweight division. That should add some intrigue as Wilder can score double points as captain which may affect the outcome. Both Wilder and Zhang are coming off shock defeats to Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia and it may be a case of winner stays on, loser retires.
Ray Ford vs Nick Ball also has the WBA Featherweight title at stake. Ball is coming off a controversial draw to Rey Vargas that robbed him of the WBC Featherweight crown.
Dimitry Bivol vs Malik Zinad will also feature on the card but will have no bearing on the 5 vs 5. Bivol was supposed to face Artur Beterbiev until he withdrew with an injury.
