Liam Dillon vs Reece Bellotti headlined Matchroom Boxing’s NXTGEN show from London at the 02 Arena. The card took place on 10 February 2024 and featured a British and Commonwealth title fight in the main event. The card aired live on DAZN from London, England.

The card had been snake-bitten in the build-up. The original headliner Walker vs Pattinson 2 was scrapped following a Pattinson injury, and the show moved from Newcastle to London. Shannon Ryan vs Emma Dolan was added to the bill and then scrapped following a Dolan injury.

Round one began as an absolute war as both Dillon and Bellotti exchanged from the start. Dillon seemed to be gaining an upper hand as the first six rounds wore on, with Bellotti sporting a swollen eye. It became a battle of the boxer Liam Dillon against the slugger Reece Bellotti.

The latter six rounds firmly belonged to Reece Bellotti. Liam Dillon’s output seemed to drop and Bellotti was in control and causing more damage.

Reece Bellotti emerged the winner via Unanimous Decision 117-111 117-112 116-112. He has now captured the British and defended the Commonwealth Super Featherweight title. Liam Dillon has suffered his first career defeat.

Post-fight, Reece Bellotti he wanted to target the European title or defend his British title in his next fight.


Cameron Vuong vs Ishmael Ellis

Cameron Voung defeated Ishmael Ellis via TKO. Voung controlled the bout and Ellis accumulated a lot of damage until the referee waved the fight off in round 6. Voung moves to 4-0.

Post-fight, Cameron Voung vs Jordan Flynn was announced for 13 April in Manchester.


Craig Richards vs Boris Crighton

Richards vs Crighton was made at late-notice.

Craig Richards scored a knockdown in round 7. ‘The Blade’ Crighton beat the count, but Richards capitalised and the towel quickly came in. Richards picked up his first victory since 2022.


Shannon Ryan vs Jasmina Zapotoczna

Shannon Ryan and Jasmina Zapotoczna fought to the full 10 round distance in a close affair. Ryan suffered a bad cut from a clash of heads in round 7 which left her vision badly impaired. Ryan was able to survive the following round and the cut was mostly closed from round 9 onwards.

Shannon Ryan emerged victorious via Unanimous Decision, retaining her unbeaten status. Jasmina Zapotoczna suffered her first loss.



John Hedges vs Erdogan Kadrija

Hedges vs Kadrija opened the main card for Matchroom NXTGEN London. John Hedges secured a KO victory in the second round.

Ibraheem Sulaimaan picked up a TKO in round 3.

Oliphant picked up a 4 round Points Decision on his debut.
