Cameron Vuong vs Jordan Flynn was announced last night during Matchroom Boxing’s show in London. The bout will feature on the upcoming Manchester show featuring Jordan Gill and Zelfa Barrett in April.
Cameron Voung competed on Matchroom NXTGEN in the Chief support vs Ishmael Ellis picking up a dominant victory. Voung stopped Ellis in the sixth round as his opponent was just accumulating damage and offered little offence. ‘The One’ moves to 4-0 with 3 KO’s. Matchroom Boxing have moved quickly as Cameron Voung’s next fight is already confirmed.
Jordan Flynn and Cameron Voung came face to face after the conclusion of the bout. A spicy encounter between the pair ensued following weeks of back and forth on social media. The fight was confirmed in the ring and set for Matchroom’s show in Manchester. Voung vs Flynn will appear on the undercard to Jordan Gill vs Zelfa Barrett.
Jordan Flynn (9-0-1) is coming off a draw in a rematch to Kane Baker. The undefeated Flyweight scored a knockdown against Baker but a points deduction in the final round cost him victory. That was Flynn’s first 10 round bout and he had previously defeated Baker over 8 rounds earlier in the year.
Cameron Voung’s opponent is a big step up early in his career. Voung handily dispatched Ellis, but he had 7 defeats on his record. Facing an unbeaten opponent of Flynn’s standing in your fifth contest is far from the easy option. Both Flynn and Voung both put their undefeated records on the line in April in what will hopefully be a really competitive contest.
