Hughie Fury receives opponent for Coming of Age Show

Hughie Fury has now received an opponent for his upcoming appearance on GBM Sports Coming of Age show.

Hughie Fury (26-3) will return to the ring next month against Ukranian Heavyweight Konstantin Dovbyschenko (10-15-1). Fury hasn’t competed since 2021 when he picked up a victory over Christian Hammer.

Konstantin Dovbyschenko is a familiar face to UK fight fans having appeared on UK shows multiple times. Dovbyschenko scored a shock TKO victory over Matty Harris on a Wasserman Boxing show in July 2023. Matty Harris suffered a massive drop in stamina as the rounds wore on, and Dovbyschenko had no qualms about inflicting his first defeat.

Dovbyschenko has also competed against Moses Itauma, losing on points. He also faced the German Tom Schwarz in 2023. The Heavyweight has never been stopped despite his 15 defeats. He was last in action in February where he was defeated by Jeamie TKV.

The bout between Fury and Dovbyschenko will be contested over 6 rounds. Hughie Fury was expressed a desire for increased activity and is targeting another contest in May, on the undercard of McCaskill vs Price in Wales.

GBM Sports Coming of Age show features Shakiel Thompson vs Vladimir Georgiev for the IBF European and WBO Global Middleweight titles. Nicola Hopewell challenges Gemma Ruegg for the Commonwealth Flyweight championship, her second attempt at the title. New GBM Sports signees Tiernan Bradley and Kieran Molloy also feature on the show.
