Former Queensberry undercard boxer Freezy Macbones has announced his first promotional venture. Seth Gyimah, better known as Freezy, competed twice for Queensberry in 2023, defeating CJ Wood at York Hall and Darryl Sharp at the Copper Box. Both bouts were contested in the Light Heavyweight division, and appeared on the early portion of Queensberry’s undercards.
Freezy then departed the UK and announced his intention to tryout for the Olympic qualifying team in Ghana, but he was defeated during the qualification bouts. Macbones was beaten in the Middleweight division by Seidou Konate, and has now announced a rematch of the bout.
Macbones vs Konate II has been announced for 23 December 2023, taking place from the Bukom Boxing Arena from 6:30 p.m. Macbones Promotions, Freezy’s own promotional outfit, will promote the bout. This will clash with the mooted dates for Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Uysk and Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder bouts, but Freezy has been able to seize on the inability of the heavyweights to fight on the 23rd.
