Beterbiev vs Bivol is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on 01 June 2024. Turki Alal Shikh of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia also confirmed the Matchroom vs Queensberry 5 v 5 card will take place on the same show.
Beterbiev vs Bivol will be for the Undisputed Light Heavyweight titles. Beterbiev currently holds 3, the WBC, WBO and IBF, whereas Bivol holds the WBA and IBO titles. Beterbiev is coming off a victory over Callum Smith in January, and Bivol defeated Lyndon Arthur last December on the Day of Reckoning card.
Turki Alal Shikh spoke to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour regarding the delay to Fury vs Usyk. During the course of the conversation it was also confirmed the Matchroom vs Queensberry card will be merged with Bivol vs Beterbiev. The Matchroom vs Queensberry card will feature 5 bouts across 5 weight divisions with further rules to be determined.
It is rumoured that Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol is a 2 fight deal, but this remains unconfirmed at this time.
