WWE 2K24 Muhammad Ali features in latest WWE game

Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali makes an appearance in WWE’s annual video game. WWE 2K24 Muhammad Ali features in the base version of the game, which releases later this Friday.

WWE 2K24 releases this week with a roster of over 200 wrestlers. The most eye-catching name was the inclusion of boxer Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali has a long association with wrestling but this marks his first appearance in a WWE video game.

Muhammad Ali appeared at the first Wrestlemania event where he acted as an additional referee for the main event match. Ali didn’t do much and was merely there to add to the spectacle, with eyes focused on Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper and ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff.

Ali would also have altercations with legendary wrestling names Gorilla Monsoon and Antonio Inoki. Muhammad Ali vs Antonio Inoki was a hybrid of boxing and MMA, with Ali sticking to boxing and Inoki allowed to grapple and kick. You can see some highlights at the bottom of the page.

Muhammad Ali also appeared at Collison in Korea, a WCW-supported wrestling show in 1995. Ali attended in support of his friend Antonio Inoki, who featured in the main event against Ric Flair. Collision in Korea was staged in North Korea, and was intended to act as a peace summit as well as a political tool for growing politician Inoki.

Muhammad Ali also features in the boxing video game Undisputed, and made an appearance in Fight Night Champion.

WWE 2K24 releases on consoles and PC on Friday 08 March 2024. Deluxe and higher versions can access the game from Tuesday. The WWE 2K24 Muhammad Ali character is included in the base game.
