Premier Boxing Champions and Amazon Prime announced their first show of 2024 featuring Rolly vs Pitbull and Thurman vs Tszyu. The card will air live on 30 March 2024 and will be PBC’s first Amazon show, promoted by TGB promotions. The original main event has now been replaced by Tim Tszyu vs Sebastian Fundora.
The PPV card on Amazon Prime will feature two co-main events. Rolly Romero vs Isaac Pitbull Cruz for the WBA World Super Lightweight championship followed by Tim Tszyu vs Sebastian Fundora in the Super Welterweight division.
Keith Thurman vs Tim Tszyu was originally set until Keith Thurman was withdrawn with a bicep injury and replaced by Sebastian Fundora. This caused changes to the undercard as Sebastian Fundora had been set to face Serhii Bohachuk.
Rolly Romero was set to face Ryan Garcia over the past few weeks, but now meets Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz instead. Romero captured his WBA title by controversially defeating Ismael Barroso, who currently holds an Interim version of the World Super Lightweight title. Rolly Romero has been injured since his victory, and Cruz will mark his first title defence.
On the undercard, Erislandy Lara vs Michael Zerafa is a second world title bout, being contested for the WBA World Middleweight title. Erislandy Lara’s mandatory defence is his first for almost two years, dating back to a 2022 win over Gary O’Sullivan.
The fourth and final bout announced is Sebastian Fundora vs Serhii Bohachuk for the WBC World Super Welterweight title. The injury to Keith Thurman meant that Fundora was moved up the card, and Bohachuk will now face Brian Mendoza.
Julio Cesar Martinez vs Angelino Cordova was added later as a another world title contest.
