Solomon Dacres vs Moses Itauma ordered for English Heavyweight Title

The BBBofC released their circulars earlier today confirming upcoming championship bouts. This includes two bouts for Solomon Dacres. Solomon Dacres vs Moses Itauma is set to take place after Dacres vs Adeleye next month.

Reigning English champion and undefeated heavyweight Solomon Dacres will face Moses Itauma if he successfully defeats David Adeleye. Dacres vs Adeleye is set to take place next month on Queensberry’s Magnificent Seven show. The winner of the bout will waive grace and defend next against unbeaten Moses Itauma. If David Adeleye successfully defeats Solomon Dacres, he will take his place and fight against Itauma next.

Both Solomon Dacres and Moses Itauma are unbeaten, although there is greater hype surrounding Itauma. Itauma (7-0, 5 KO’s) has already competed in Saudi Arabia and recorded a number of eye-catching knockouts. Dacres (8-0, 2 KO’s) last fought to a Majority Decision to retain his English title.

19-year-old Moses Itauma will have to wait until his 20th birthday to challenge for the championship on 28 December, as the BBBofC regulations prevent him from doing so earlier.

Solomon Dacres, Moses Itauma and David Adeleye are all signed to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.
