Skye Nicolson calls out Amanda Serrano

WBC Interim Featherweight champion Skye Nicolson has called on the current Undisputed champion Amanda Serrano to face her.

28 year old Nicolson defeated Lucy Wildheart via TKO on the undercard of Chantelle Cameron vs Katie Taylor 2, retaining her status as mandatory challenger to Amanda Serrano and scoring the first stoppage victory of her career.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nicolson has spoken to various media outlets including MMA Hour and Boxing Social confirming her intention to fight the champion.

“I want to fight the best” declared Nicolson when speaking to the MMA Hour, and Nicolson went on to note that she doesn’t want to compete for a vacant title.

Unbeaten Skye Nicolson (9-0) would enter as the underdog against Undisputed champion Amanda Serrano (46-2-1), but some fans believe Nicolson stands a good chance in the bout, including current IBF World Bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges. Bridges took to X in the aftermath of Nicolson vs Wildheart, stating that “if any style is going to cause Serrano problems it’s Skye’s”.

Amanda Serrano is yet to respond directly to the request, although the signs do not appear promising. Serrano current has a “PFL itch”, and is training in MMA.
