Rodriquez vs Edwards Start Time and Preview

Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriquez (18-0) takes on ‘Showtime’ Sunny Edwards (20-0) in a unification bout for the WBO and IBF Flyweight Championships.

Bam Rodriquez won his WBO belt earlier this year against Cristian Hernandez via Unanimous Decision, but suffered a broken jaw in the process. This delayed Rodriguez vs Edwards until now.

Sunny Edwards had been hoping to face Rodriquez as his first opponent when he signed with Matchroom Boxing. Edwards had been calling for unification bouts against the other 3 Flyweight belt holders, and signed with Matchroom to accelerate the process.

Edwards had to settle with defending his belt against little known Campos at Wembley Arena on 10 June 2023 instead.
