Top Rank Boxing return to Glendale Arizona to host a world title double header, main-evented by Oscar Valdez vs Liam Wilson. The card also features an Undisputed Minimumweight championship fight with Seniesa Estrada vs Yokasta Valle contesting all the championships.
Mexican Super Featherweight Oscar Valdez is returning to action following his defeat to Emmanuel Navarrete in his last bout. Valdez previously held the WBC Super Featherweight title until losing a unification contest to Shakur Stevenson in April 2022. Valdez has lost two his last two world championship fights against Navarrete and Stevenson, but scored a victory over Adam Lopez in-between.
Oscar Valdez’s next opponent is Liam Wilson (13-2). The Australian boxer has won his last two contests, but began the year by also losing to Emmanuel Navarrete. Wilson lost to Navarrete via TKO in February, whereas Navarette had to settle for points against Valdez. Wilson bounced back from his loss with two points victories in Australia to set up this contest.
The Valdez undercard features the eye-catching Undisputed Minimumweight world title bout in the women’s division. Seniesa Estrada vs Yokasta Valle will pit the holders of two championships against each other. Both Valle and Estrada have also won gold at Light Flyweight before dropping down in weight and vacating the title.
Seniesa Estrada (25-0) enters as the undefeated WBA and WBC champion. Estrada has held world gold since 2021 and encountered little resistance in her title defences. Her most recent bout was the most competitive of her reign, outpointing Leonela Paola Yudica by 4 points.
Seniesa Estrada’s opponent is Yokasta Valle, the IBF and WBO Minimumweight champion. Valle has held gold since 2019, defending her IBF championship successfully on 11 occasions successfully.
Raymond Muratalla vs Agustin Quintana and Richard Torrez Jr., vs Donald Haynesworth both feature on the TV portion of the undercard.
