Golden Boy announce Goulamirian vs Ramirez for World title

Golden Boy Promotions have announced a WBA title defence for Arsen Goulamirian. Goulamirian vs Ramirez for the WBA Cruiserweight championship will headline Golden Boy’s California show on 30 March 2024.

Arsen Goulamirian (27-0) will be competing and defending his WBA Super Cruiserweight championship for the first time since 2022. The Armenian boxer was ordered to face Yuniel Dorticos in 2023 but the bout never happened.

Ramirez has a sole loss to undefeated Dmitrii Bivol in 2022 via a wide Unanimous Decision. Ramirez bounced back by destroying Joe Smith Jr in 2023, winning 9 of the 10 rounds on his way to a convincing victory.

Goulamirian vs Zurdo Ramirez will be held at the YouTube Theater and will air live on DAZN. Goulamirian vs Ramirez takes place amidst a busy weekend of boxing. Also that weekend is Matchroom’s Prizefighter show in Japan, Valdez vs Wilson from Top Rank on Friday and Wardley vs Clarke in the UK on Sunday.
