Juan Francisco Estrada vs Bam Rodriguez
Jesse Bam Rodriguez (19-0) steps up in weight to challenge WBC World champion Juan Francisco Estrada (44-3) for his Super Flyweight title. Bam Rodriguez is coming off victory over IBF Flyweight World champion Sunny Edwards, winning the unification bout and inflicting the first loss of Edwards’ career. Despite becoming unified champion, Rodriguez vacated his belts and moved up in weight.
Juan Francisco Estrada is competing for the first time in 18 months, having failed to fight in 2023. The WBC Super Flyweight world champion last bout against long-time rival Roman Gonzalez, winning the bout via Majority Decision and going 2-1 in the trilogy so far. Estrada is unbeaten since a 2018 Majority Decision loss to Wisaksil Wangek, racking up 8 consecutive victories since the defeat.
Sunny Edwards vs Adrian Curiel
Showtime Sunny Edwards (20-1) returns from his first loss against Adrian Curiel (24-5-1). Edwards faced Bam Rodriguez back in December and lost the unification bout, losing his IBF World Flyweight title in the process.
Adrian Curiel captured the IBF World Light Flyweight title with a shock TKO against Sivenathi Nontshinga. Curiel lost the championship in a rematch against Nontshinga in Mexico back in February. Curiel moves back to Flyweight for this contest, having last fought at the weight in 2022.
