Floyd Mayweather vs John Gotti III Rematch announced

Floyd Mayweather vs John Gotti III has been announced as Mayweather’s next exhibition bout. The pair previously fought on 26 April 2023 with the match ending in John Gotti III being disqualified in the sixth round. Experienced referee Kenny Bayless ended the contest due to Gotti’s relentless trash-talking, which was followed by the ring being invaded and a mass brawl between Mayweather and Gotti’s teams.

The date for Mayweather vs Gotti III is unconfirmed but set for Superbowl Weekend, with the card expected on 9/10/11 February 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather has been competing in exhibition bouts since 2018, when he returned to the ring with a first round KO victory over Tenshin Nasukawa. Mayweather followed that up with exhibition contests against Logan Paul, Don Moore, Mikuru Asakura, Deji and Aaron Chalmers.

John Gotti III has competed twice professionally as a boxer, but only turned professional in October 2022. Gotti III is a professional in MMA where he holds a record of 5-1.

Floyd Mayweather vs John Gotti 2 will be held on PPV on the Zeus network, the same place where Mayweather’s previous bouts against Gotti and Aaron Chalmers were held. The previous Floyd Mayweather vs John Gotti card also included a surprise exhibition contest involving Jarell Miller, though no names have been confirmed for the latest undercard so far.
