Craig Woodruff competing twice in two weeks

British Lightweight Craig Woodruff is set to compete in action twice in the next two weeks.

Woodruff has been inactive since April 2023 when he sustained a TKO loss to Gavin Gwynne for the British Lightweight title. The pair had previously fought to a Majority Draw in 2022, and the rematch proved to be Craig Woodruff’s only activity of 2023.

Woodruff is now returning in 2024 with two bouts planned across three weekends. First Woodruff is heading to Bristol where he will compete against Cruz Perez (4-8). The six round bout appears designed to shake-off some ring rust, and Woodruff shares the bill with unbeaten Bristol fighter Aaron Sutton and fellow unbeaten fighter Pawel August.

Two weeks later, Woodruff moves to the top of the card in a clash for the Celtic Lightweight title. Craig Woodruff vs Regan Glackin (11-0) headlines a card from Kynoch Boxing on 09 March. His opponent boasts a far superior record but hasn’t challenged above Scottish Area level as he moves up the ranks.

Regan Glackin is set for a bout in January with Kynoch Boxing. Assuming he comes through as planned, it will set up his first Celtic title opportunity later in March.
