Anthony Yarde vs Marko Nikolic has been added to Queensberry Promotions show on 10 February 2024. The fight will take place on the Hamzah Sheeraz card from the Copper Box Arena.
British Light Heavyweight Anthony Yarde (24-3) will be boxing for the second time since his loss to Artur Beterbiev in January 2023. Yarde put in a decent performance but was stopped by the undefeated Beterbiev at the OVO Wembley Arena for the Undisputed Light Heavyweight titles. Yarde returned to the same venue later in 2023 rebuilding with a TKO win over Jorge Silva. Anthony Yarde’s next opponent Marko Nikolic isn’t a major step up in class from Jorge SIlva.
Marko Nikolic (32-3) is a Serbian boxer who has previously challenged unsuccessfully for two International championships. Nikolic has fought in small-hall shows across Europe but has rarely faced game opposition, and his CV is massively outweighed by Anthony Yarde. Nikolic is a former WBC Mediterranean Light Heavyweight champion and made successful defences of is belt before vacating. He currently holds the Serbian Light Heavyweight title.
