Shakur Stevenson vs Artem Harutyunyan Preview and Undercard

Shakur Stevenson vs Artem Harutyunyan headlines a World championship double header in Newark, New Jersey. Stevenson defends his Lightweight title while O’Shaquie Foster vs Robson Conceicao features as chief support.

Shakur Stevenson vs Artem Harutyunyan

Unbeaten WBC champion Shakur Stevenson (21-0) defends his newly won Lightweight title for the first time. Stevenson moved up in weight and captured the crown against Edwin De Los Santos, becoming a three weight world champion in the process.

Stevenson will face Artem Harutyunyan (12-1). The Armenian arrives coming off a loss to Frank Martin back in July last year, with Harutyunyan taking a knee in the final round of the bout.

O’Shaquie Foster vs Robson Conceicao

Ice Water O’Shaquie Foster (22-2) makes the third defence of his WBC title following reasonably comfortable defences over Eduardo Hernandez and Abraham Nova. Foster scored knockdowns in the final round of both of those bouts, stopping Hernandez and beating Nova via Split Decision.

Olympic Gold medallist Robson Conceicao (18-2-1) attempts to gain a World title for the fourth time, with his three previous attempts causing the blemishes on his record. Conceicao picked up a Majority Draw during his last attempt against Emanuel Navarrete, and previously lost to both Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez.
