Rafael Espinoza vs Sergio Chirino Undercard, Preview and Start Time

Rafael Espinoza vs Sergio Chirino headlines Top Rank’s Mexican card featuring Espinoza’s first championship defence. The ESPN+ card also includes Andres Cores vs Abraham Nova.

Unbeaten Rafael Espinoza (24-0) will defend his newly won WBO World Featherweight in an all-Mexican clash against Sergio Chirino (22-1).

Espinoza upset the bookmakers and captured his title last December from Robeisy Ramirez. Espinoza knocked down the champion in the final round and won the fight via Majority Decision. That was Espinoza’s first fight outside of Mexico and he returns back to his home country for his first defence.

Sergio Chirino is a Mexican Featherweight who picked up two victories in 2023. He started 2024 with a TKO over Dennis Contreras in February.

Chirino’s lone career defeat came back in 2018 to Mauricio Lara.

Andres Cores vs Abraham Nova appears as the chief support for the WBO NABO Super Featherweight title. Nova is coming off a World title loss to O’Shaquie Foster and enters as the B-side against unbeaten Cortes.
