Overtime Boxing returns to DAZN for the first time in 2024 with Return of the Wolf. The young promotion started airing shows on DAZN from Georgia in 2023 and will continue into this year. Elijah Pierce vs Arthur Villanueva headlines OTX.
Overtime Boxing was introduced to our screens in 2023. The promotion had a few new ideas for their boxing shows including smaller rings and Knockout bonuses in the first and last round. The biggest innovation was an ‘Overtime Round’, which only came into play in the event of a draw. This did occur in 2023 and both fighters fought an additional round to enable a winner.
Elijah Pierce vs Arthur Villanueva
American Super Bantamweight Elijah Pierce (18-2) returns to Overtime Boxing having bagged a KO last year. Pierce picked up two victories in 2023 including a third-round KO of Mike Plania on Overtime Boxing. He also won his first 10 round bout against Tramaine Williams via Unanimous Decision.
Former World title challenger Arthur Villanueva (35-4-1) is Pierce’s opponent. Villanueva lost a WBC World title bout in 2019 to Nordine Oubaali. He has only competed three times since then, picking up three KO’s against lesser opposition.
Villanueva has also fought for the IBF Super Flyweight title in 2015, losing via a Technical Decision. The Phillino boxer has had a long career remains just 35-years old despite his experience.
