Beterbiev vs Smith Start Time & Undercard

Unbeaten Unified Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev (19-0) puts his championships on the line against Brit Callum Smith (29-1), live from Canada.

Beterbiev was impressive in his last defence against Anthony Yarde, taking some heavy shots on his way to a stoppage victory. Beterbiev carries a perfect knockout record, 19 stoppages, including a 12th round stoppage way back in 2017.

Callum Smith is one of the four famed Smith brothers, and a former WBA World Super Middleweight Champion until his defeat by Canelo Alvarez. He’s only fought twice since then, and neither fight carried any stakes. Callum Smith will be stepping up to elite level for the first time since December 2020.

The contest was originally due to take place on 19 August 2023, but was cancelled due to Beterbiev suffering an infection as a result of dental work. This led to Beterbiev not boxing and recuperating for the rest of 2023.

Callum Smith has not fought in the interim, with the last time he boxed being way back in August 2022 when he stopped Bauderlique on the undercard of Usyk vs Joshua 2.
