Veteran MMA referee Marc Goddard has strongly condemned the actions of a KICK streamer who attempted to provoke and confront former UFC champion Alex Pereira at a public event, calling out the growing trend of dangerous public pranks.
The incident, which quickly circulated across social media platforms, captured a KICK streamer identified as Maciej approaching Pereira and his entourage. The content creator stepped directly into the space of the Brazilian star, attempting to goad him into an impromptu fight and demanding that he sign a contract for a bout.
“Yo Alex. Me and you, let’s have a UFC fight, bro. I’m ready. Don’t be a b*tch boy… Come on, sign the contract,” the streamer could be heard saying on the recording.
Despite the aggressive and disrespectful approach, Pereira and his longtime coach, Plinio Cruz, maintained their composure and refused to take the bait. However, the situation was swiftly handled by individuals appearing to be part of Pereira’s security detail, who immediately intervened and escorted the streamer out of the venue.
While the physical confrontation was prevented by quick-thinking security personnel, the digital fallout was immediate. The MMA community heavily criticized the streamer online, expressing widespread frustration over influencers and content creators crossing professional and personal boundaries for online engagement.
Among the most vocal critics of the stunt was veteran official Marc Goddard. Known for his no-nonsense approach both inside and outside the Octagon, the British referee took to social media to voice his disgust. Goddard did not mince words in an expletive-laden post shared on X, emphasizing the potential real-world dangers of such behavior.

“What an absolute sht stain of a ‘boy,’” Goddard wrote. “Here’s the thing, these kids will keep this up till there’s a real FAFO moment to let them know in the real world this doesn’t fly. Zero tolerance for disrespect disguised as a dckhead’s prank.”
Goddard’s comments struck a chord with many followers and athletes in the combat sports industry, highlighting a broader concern regarding the safety of fighters who are frequently targeted in public spaces by individuals looking to manufacture viral moments.
Alex Pereira’s Next Fight Is Against Sergei Pavlovich
Away from the distractions of social media stunts, Alex Pereira is deep into preparations for his next major outing inside the Octagon. “Poatan” is scheduled to face top heavyweight contender Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335. The high-stakes encounter is booked as a five-round heavyweight clash.
Pereira enters the upcoming bout looking to rebound and reclaim his momentum following a setback earlier in the year. The heavy-hitting Brazilian suffered a knockout loss to France’s Ciryl Gane during the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the South Lawn at the White House in Washington, D.C.
Facing Pavlovich represents a formidable test for Pereira as he continues his campaign in the heavyweight division. The Russian knockout artist enters the matchup with plenty of momentum, having secured a fiery first-round knockout victory over Tallison Teixeira in his previous outing. Furthermore, Pavlovich is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, presenting a significant challenge for Pereira, who has secured just one victory over his last three appearances.
UFC 335 promises to be a massive card for Brazilian MMA fans. In addition to Pereira’s co-main event battle against Pavlovich, the pay-per-view event is set to be headlined by fellow Brazilian star Charles Oliveira, who will put his symbolic BMF title on the line as he defends the strap against Diego Lopes.
