KSI vs Tommy Fury Start Time and Preview

KSI VS FURY LIVE ON: 14 October 2023

WHO IS BOXING?

On 14 October 2023, KSI vs Tommy Fury will headline a boxing card called: Misfits & DAZN X Series – The Prime Card. The headline bout will feature KSI vs Fury in 6 exhibition rounds, as well as Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis as a co-feature in an exhibition bout.

Of the four fighters currently featuring on the bill, only Tommy Fury(9-0) is a professional boxer; KSI and Logan Paul have competed once professionally and in exhibitions and amateurs, and Dillon Danis has not boxed before.

Logan Paul has recently been performing in WWE, and has signed to the PFL to compete in MMA in the future. Danis is a mixed martial artist signed to Bellator MMA, but last competed on 14 June 2019 at Bellator 222, winning by armbar.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE BUILD-UP TO KSI VS FURY?

When the 4 fighters met at the press conference, it was thirty minutes of noise and calamity. Split into two, KSI and Logan Paul were paired against the odd duo of Tommy Fury and Dillon Danis, with insults being slung left right and centre, but being drowned out by other insults in the process. In the end the saving grace of the event proved to be John Fury. John Fury is known for taking his shirt off and threatening anyone and everyone, but he delved further into his wheelhouse to punt a table in the air. Shades of Derek Chisora.

The press conference was met with laughter and shame from the boxing community, who generally loathe these events anyway, but John Fury’s swift furniture intervention kept the momentum going when it began to dim.

KSI has been trying to build his rivalry with Tommy Fury, adopting a WWE style of trash-talking. But KSI vs Fury isn’t the grudge match that Paul vs Fury was, and John Fury was arguably been the biggest promoter of the bout.

During the press conference, Dillon Danis managed to throw a microphone that hit Logan Paul in the face.

WHO IS THE FAVOURITE KSI VS FURY?

Tommy Fury is the heavy favourite. Fury is an unbeaten pro who bested Jake Paul in his last outing in Saudi Arabia on PPV. Fury outclassed Paul but did take a flash knockdown in the 8th round, which is a slight concern and may be a weakness for KSI to capitalise on.

KSI has a 1-0 professional boxing record. He has fought 6 times, two under amateur rules, and three as an exhibition, and one licenced professionally vs Logan Paul. His combined record is 4 wins, 1 draw to Logan Paul, and 1 No Contest. His last bout saw him defeat Joe Fournier at Misfits & DAZN X Series 007 via KO, but this was overturned as he used his elbow to defeat Fournier.

KSI currently has odds of 5/2 with Bet365, with Tommy Fury at 3/10.

Logan Paul will be the heavy favourite when he faces Dillon Danis, who has no boxing experience. Although Logan Paul isn’t a boxer, he has done more boxing training than Danis, who has not even appointed a coach to train him. Some bookmakers are not taking bets on this bout, as typically exhibitions are not bet on.

WHERE IS KSI VS FURY BEING HELD?

ANY HIGHLIGHTS ON THE UNDERCARD?

Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis has been made interesting by Dillion Danis trolling Logan Paul. He has posted hundreds of photos and videos of Paul’s fiance, Nina Agdal, with the insinuation being made that Agdal has numerous past lovers. This has progressed daily on Twitter, or X, with increasing ferocity, and has helped to build the event as a result. Expect this one to be fiery, although Paul has more boxing credentials than Danis and this fight is unlikely to go the distance.
