Floyd Mayweather Expresses Deep Admiration for Donald Trump at Arizona Rally Following Praise From Former President

Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather joined Donald Trump on the campaign trail in Arizona, delivering a passionate speech in support of the President and Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

Mayweather traveled to Bullhead City, Arizona, aboard Air Force One, becoming the latest prominent sports star to make a high-profile appearance alongside Trump during his political rallies. As he welcomed the boxing icon to the stage, Trump heaped praise on Mayweather’s historic athletic career and his remarkably well-preserved appearance.

"One of the greatest fighters in boxing history," Trump told the enthusiastic crowd, describing Mayweather as an "unbelievable defensive fighter."

"That’s why he looks so good," Trump continued, walking toward the stage as he gestured to the athlete. "Look at this guy, he looks so good. Who would believe he’s a fighter? He looks so good! He doesn’t have a mark!"

The admiration was quickly reciprocated when Mayweather stepped up to the microphone. The boxing champion declared to the audience that America is the greatest country in the world and praised Trump’s leadership. "We couldn’t have chosen a better president twice than Donald Trump," Mayweather stated, reinforcing a political alignment that has spanned several years.

Mayweather began his address by reflecting on his pride in representing the United States on the international stage during his amateur career. "America is the greatest country in the world. If I died and came back a million times, I would always choose America," he said. "It was great to represent this country in the 1996 Olympic Games. To go out there and represent the red, white, and blue."

Turning his focus to the political climate and his endorsement of the administration, Mayweather emphasized unity and strength. "So it’s all about keeping this country strong, sticking together, and believing in one another. America is the greatest country in the world. Thank you."

Mayweather, 49, a native of Las Vegas, maintains strong business and personal ties throughout the state of Arizona. His appearance in Bullhead City is part of a broader trend of sports legends joining Trump at campaign events across the country. In recent weeks, figures such as Dennis Rodman, Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Roger Clemens, and Jon Gruden have all made appearances at various rallies to support the President.

The boxing star’s public endorsement of Trump is far from new. Mayweather has been an outspoken supporter for years, famously declaring last year that Trump is "the best president in US history." He attended Trump’s first inauguration and has consistently voiced his approval of the administration’s economic and political direction throughout his time in the Oval Office.

Beyond domestic politics, Mayweather and Trump have found common ground on international affairs, including policy positions regarding the Middle East. Mayweather is a vocal supporter of Israel, having demonstrated his commitment through philanthropic efforts, including a $1 million donation to United Hatzalah of Israel in 2024.

Reflecting on his support in an interview with Fox Business early last year, Mayweather elaborated on his view of Trump’s executive leadership. "We had Trump before, we didn’t appreciate him," Mayweather said at the time. "I think Trump is a great president, actually he’s the best president in my eyes, he’s the best president we’ve ever had. Great businessman and that’s what it’s about."

"Trump has done an amazing job and a lot of people around America are upset," Mayweather added. "But no matter who goes into the White House, we’re always upset. And I think Trump is the man for the job, he’s the best president in my eyes."

Mayweather’s appearance in Arizona mirrors similar high-profile sports crossovers orchestrated by the campaign. Just days prior, fellow boxing icon Mike Tyson joined Trump aboard the presidential aircraft for a flight from the White House to Syracuse, New York. During the subsequent rally in Syracuse, Trump spotted Tyson in the crowd and invited him to address the attendees.

"I think we have to call him up, Mike Tyson, will you get up here?" Trump told the cheering audience.

Tyson stepped up to the microphone and expressed his gratitude to the President. "Thank you, thank you very much. I’m just happy to be up here with my president, President Trump. There’s no way in the world I would ever be here if it wasn’t for a president like Donald Trump," Tyson said.

Other recent sports figures making waves on the campaign trail include NBA legend Dennis Rodman, who appeared at a rally in Durant, Oklahoma, and former NFL coach Jon Gruden alongside influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who joined Trump in Youngstown, Ohio. Additionally, baseball legend Roger Clemens joined the President at a rally in San Antonio, Texas, where Trump announced his intention to award Clemens the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
