Michael "Venom" Page has found a surprising new home in the world of combat sports.

During Saturday’s Misfits Boxing event in the United Kingdom, internet personality and promoter KSI stepped into the squared circle to make a major announcement that sent waves through the combat sports community: Page has officially signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Misfits Boxing. While the promotion has yet to reveal a specific debut date or an opponent for the veteran fighter, the signing signals a dramatic new chapter for one of MMA’s most dynamic and unorthodox strikers.

The announcement was preceded by a theatrical, WWE-style entrance that paid homage to The Undertaker, capturing the entertainment-heavy ethos that Misfits Boxing has built its brand around. Page walked out to thunderous applause from the British crowd, leaning fully into the crossover spectacle of influencer and entertainment boxing.

The move to Misfits comes hot on the heels of the conclusion of Page’s tenure with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Following a decision victory over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris in September, Page officially fought out his promotional contract. Rather than offering a renewal, the UFC opted not to re-sign the 39-year-old fighter, bringing a brief but notable Octagon run to a close.

Michael Page signs multi-fight deal with Misfits Boxing following UFC departure

Page entered the UFC with immense fanfare following a storied career as a longtime standout under the Bellator MMA banner, where he established himself as a lethal counter-striker with a highlight-reel knockout portfolio. Over the course of his six-fight UFC run, Page compiled a respectable 5-1 record, competing across both the welterweight and middleweight divisions. His lone defeat inside the Octagon came via a closely contested decision against rising contender Ian Machado Garry at UFC 303 in June 2024. Despite the loss, Page remained a high-profile name in the welterweight and middleweight landscapes, showcasing his high-level karate-based movement against top-tier mixed martial arts competition.

Beyond his exploits in traditional MMA and his recent UFC journey, Page is no stranger to alternative combat sports organizations. Prior to his eventual signing with the world’s premier MMA promotion, Page tested the waters in bare-knuckle fighting. In August 2022, he stepped into the BKFC squared circle at BKFC 27 to face fellow combat sports star Mike Perry in a highly anticipated main event. That bout delivered an absolute war, ultimately ending in a hard-fought majority decision loss for Page after the action extended into an extra round.

Now, by joining forces with Misfits Boxing, Page transitions into the rapidly growing ecosystem of crossover boxing and entertainment fight cards. Known for blending high-profile internet personalities with seasoned professional athletes, Misfits Boxing has carved out a unique space in the combat sports landscape. With his elite-level striking background, flashy theatricality, and massive name recognition, "MVP" immediately establishes himself as one of the most dangerous and compelling talents on the promotion’s roster as fight fans await news of his debut opponent and date.
